Truth be told, I don't have a cat–my husband is allergic. But that doesn't mean an aspiring cat lover can't get their kitty fix elsewhere. Recently I stayed at a friend's house to watch her cat for the day, keeping her company and filling her food bowl regularly for meals (OR ELSE), and in the 24 hours I spent at the house I completely became converted into a cat lover. Formerly just a 'cat-sympathizer,' I was completely converted to the feline lifestyle when I sat on the couch for lunch.
Suzan, my friend's tiny, meowing calico, hopped up onto my lap, immediately started purring, and curled into the cutest little ball of fluff I've ever seen. From that moment on I knew I'd always like cats. These little furry fuzzballs have a funny way of warming even the coldest hearts. On the coldest days with the blusteriest weather outside and looming family dinner plans, sometimes the best part of the day is spent with our feline friends at home–cuddling on the couch with a good book, a hot beverage, and your best buddy.
