Results of methyl parathion assays involving effects on chromosomes have also been contradictory. For sister chromatid exchange, Waters et al. Some drugs with low intrinsic permeability achieve acceptable oral bioavailability because they are substrates for uptake transporters, which normally function in nutrient uptake.
