Clyde Richard Cannon, age 89 of Clarksville, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He was born February 26, 1932 in Ashland City, Tenn., the son of the late Clyde Samuel Cannon and Pearl Edna Simpson. Clyde enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with his neighbors and friends. He loved reading and wild bird feeding.

Clyde had a gift of fixing things. During his life, he was a partner in a television and CB radio repair shop and retired from a long career at General Electric Factory Service, where he repaired major appliances in homes. After his retirement, he was a partner in a used appliance shop.

He was a longtime member of McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; daughter, Brenda; grandson, Tim; and grandson, Clint.

He is survived by children, Betty (Cindy), Rick (Gail), Ron (Connie) and Lisa (Jeff); grandchildren, Bonnie, John, Jr., (Debbie), Casey (Colleen), Martha (Steve), Jeni, Matt, Nick, Jonathan (Emily), Tammy, Jenny (Tom), Colby and Jason; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Saturday, August 21 at 10 a.m. at McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
