Overview

The seven-year Neurologic Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota, provides a rigorous, comprehensive surgical training experience designed to produce the highest caliber academic and clinical neurosurgeons.

  • preparation for both written and oral neurosurgery board examinations
  • opportunities for laboratory and clinical research alike
  • the option to pursue an advanced degree in neuroscience and neurosurgery or clinical and translational research

Accreditation

The Neurologic Surgery Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Certification

Upon successful completion of the Neurologic Surgery Residency, graduates will be eligible to take the American Board of Neurological Surgery certification exam after two to five years of practice.
