In less that a month's time, Game of Thrones will return to our screens for its eighth and final season, and HBO has now debuted a first look at some pretty awesome key art.

It's only fitting that this poster features The Iron Throne (it is what most of our surviving characters are fighting for, after all), but if you look closely you'll see that the highest seat in Westeros is actually fused to the head of a dragon. Also appropriate, since it was dragon-fire that forged the throne in the first place.

Is this an indication that Daenerys Targaryen will ultimately prevail? Possibly - but remember, she's not the only Dragonborn among our main characters!

Check out the poster below along with the recent trailer and a batch of character banners. Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on April 14.

@bobevanz - Personally I want either Jon or Dany to die or Cersei to win in the end.

@StormXmen123 - But why? Isn't watching bad guys win the throne in the real world bad enough? I thought watching these things was to escape that reality.

@bobevanz - That would be both depressing and intriguing. I'm down for that.

@StormXmen123 - I'm usually not this blunt, but what the hell's wrong with you?? We get enough of real life tyranny in real life and you want it to continue in this?

@amesjazz - The Night King is just some poor sap who got turned into an Other by the Children to kill the 1st Men for them. Obviously, it went horribly wrong.

I don't how this will all end, I'm just hoping for a significant flashback to the Tourney at Harrenhal. Give us something to show a bit more of what kinda started everything, we've been *told* so much about it, time to show us.

Jon Snow kills Dany and becomes Azor Ahai, defeats the night king then sees Dany as the dead and surrenders himself and becomes the Night King.
