MediaWiki:Editintro/Commons:Requests for rights

Rollback (add request)

Hi, I am already patroller and would apreciate an aditional rollback-button for fighting vandalism more easily. Thank you. Carbenium (talk) 11:13, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning,
Whereas I reviewed your user talk page and last contributions to find rollback need's evidences;
Whereas the ratio between your level of recent activity and the feedback gathered on Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems#User:Carbenium;
Your request is adjourned until the points drawn to your attention in the AN section are resolved. --Dereckson (talk) 04:38, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Howdy. I would like to request rollback. It would come in handy to revert vandalism. I review a significant number of flickr uploaded images. Typically, I keep the images on my watchlist until the next valid edit is made. Normally, the next edit is not vandalism, but occasionally it is. I've had an account here since January 2008. In that time I've made 1800+ edits and uploaded 313 images. I have rollback on the english wiki. There, I've been a member since September 2007 and made over 23,000 edits.--Rockfang (talk) 18:28, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Patroller (add request)

Autopatrol (add request)

For autopatrol in order to reduce backlog. Thank you. Sporti (talk) 18:28, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done as well as "patroller." Cheers, Tiptoety talk 18:37, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
autopatroller requst: I am an administrator, patroller and uploader in ru-wiki - so I think, that I am rather adequate user and can get autopatroller (or even patroller) status. Thank you. Dinamik (talk) 16:09, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done. Geagea (talk) 16:14, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filemover (add request)

filemover request: Like to begin renaming files; I see many incorrect names. Active here and on enwiki. Thank you. Mono (talk) 15:43, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please create a local userpage. –Juliancolton | Talk 16:07, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite what I had in mind to be honest with you. People will inevitably disagree with some of your filemoving actions, and they'll come to your userpage looking for ways to contact you or info about your position on Commons. Please add at least a short informative blurb. –Juliancolton | Talk 16:57, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My concern is you very low edit count ... axpdeHello! 17:41, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Edit count or not, I'd rather be concerned about the lack of rename requests.--  Docu  at 07:22, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am currently engaged in clearing the backlog at Category:Files moved from en.wikipedia to Commons requiring review and have read and understood Commons:File renaming. It would ease the load on Admins here if I didn't have to use {{Rename}} for obvious cases. I am an Admin on en:wiki so arguably can be trusted with this permission.) Thank you. filemover: Their are a lot of misnamed files from wikibook blender3d:noob to pro that I would like to fix up, without increasing the other admin's/filemover's workload. Pearts (talk) 16:02, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
This were a difficult request to appreciate, as you're a rather recent user both on Commons Wikibooks.
Thus, you've a legitimate purpose: rename amongst more than one hundred files.
I so assigned you the filemover right on a temporary basis (two weeks or until you let me a note stating you've finished to rename your files), under the condition you rename only your own files. --Dereckson (talk) 16:50, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any way to get filemover right under condition only to move my own files? It really would be helpful! Thank you. 4028mdk09 (talk) 21:11, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good evening,
I gave you the rights.
According your contribs records, you can remove too other files. --Dereckson (talk) 23:41, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! --4028mdk09 (talk) 04:59, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rights granted. --Dereckson (talk) 01:38, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Just was reading through all the rights descriptions: from what I'm gathering autopatrolled means that my edits don't need to be patrolled before they go into affect, whereas patroller gives you the ability to patrol other users edits? NativeForeigner 토론 (talk) 02:41, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Partly right, except that unpatrolled edits do go in affect immediately. ZooFari 02:39, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'm aware that on commons it's more of a system to keep track of edits than to stop them from going through. NativeForeigner 토론 (talk) 02:41, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Primarily to move my own files, since I have realised I have mis-identified the species on several of my uploads on animals, and it would be easier for myself and other admins if I could move the files. I'm an administrator on the English Wikipdia and have made occasional use of the file moving privilege over there; I have also familiarised myself with Commons:File renaming. Thank you. I've lost count of how many times I've been to the #wikipedia-commons commons IRC channel for files renaming assistance (e.g. [1]). Also are interested in renaming many misspelled and incorrect sports related images. A trusted user on enwiki (verify). If possible I would like to have the rollback rights too. Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 04:42, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have only 269 editcount. I'm afraid it too early. Geagea (talk) 04:51, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I've looked through the other requests, and did saw some who have passed with their edit counts lower than I have now. And to be exact (although it doesn't really matter much), my edit count isn't 269, it is more than 300 (looking at the X! edit counter) (verify this). I think I've been here long enough (since January 2009) to gain the access. I don't think the number of edits really matters here though‚ it should increase considerably over months. Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 09:26, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
