Hi! When uploading at Commons you'll always have to check both the contributions freedom in the United States AND the source country. Only if a work is free in both, it is acceptable at Commons. The Internet Archive does not have this kind of rule. They just have to look for US-right. So not everything there is useable for us. For example: You have uploaded two djvu's today. The book from Sollmann was published in the United States, so the source country is the US. But the book from Fröhner was published in Germany. It is no US-work. While it is already free in the United States, it is not yet free in its source country Germany. Eugen Frohner died in 1940. So this book can be uploaded on Commons earliest on Januar 1st 2011. -- Cecil (talk) 05:00, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
:One more: The Botanikai közlemények is from Gusztav Moesz. He died in 1946, so not free before 2017. -- Cecil (talk) 05:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
:Hi, You can upload these books on Wikisource. For books scanned by Google, please delete the two first pages which contain Google's useless promotion. Yann (talk) 22:15, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
::Yann, what would the French or English Wikisource do with local uploads of a German text by Eugen Frohner? -- Cecil (talk) 23:37, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
:::Ah yes, for German texts, it is a problem. There is a sister project which accepts them: Wikilivres. To delete a page in a DJVU file, use:

djvm -d file.djvu <page_number>

For example, for the first page:

djvm -d file.djvu 1

Template:GFDL-DD
In order to reduce the number of individual license templates not beeing individual but only redundant to the regular license tags I replaced that template and will substitute its transclusions. Files using this template are licensed under GFDL 1.2 or any later version, also files uploaded befor Aug 09 using this template are eligible for relicensing according to Commons:GFDL 1.3 relicensing criteria. The custom license template was so far overlooked by the migration taskforce. --Martin H. (talk) 13:38, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
