Only OTRS volunteers should be adding the {{PermissionOTRS}} template. This template is used to identify the OTRS ticket associated with the permission of a particular file. See Commons:OTRS for more information.

The template automatically sets the following categories:

• Category:Items with OTRS permission confirmed
• Category:Items with ticket OTRS permission confirmed
• Category:Items with incorrect OTRS ticket ID
• Category:Items missing OTRS ticket ID
• Category:Pages using PermissionOTRS template with incorrect parameter

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
id 1	Use {{PermissionOTRS|id=################}} when you know the ticket ID number. This is the preferred way of specifying ticket number, which is a 16 digit number starting with 4 digit year. The template recognizes numbers between 1980 0000 0000 0000 and 3000 0000 0000 0000, and flags the id's outside that range as incorrect and places them in Category:Items with incorrect OTRS ticket ID. On very rare occasions there are OTRS records with valid ticket ID numbers outside that range (some of them have extra digit). Use verified_out_of_range_ID=1 parameter for such tickets to remove them from the category		empty	required
2	Same as id. This option is used by images moved from German (and possibly other) Wikipedias. The number has to be in 1980 0000 0000 0000 to 3000 0000 0000 0000 range. The files using this option will be added to Category:Items with OTRS permission in parameter 2, so they can be converted to use id parameter.		empty	deprecated
ticket	Use {{PermissionOTRS|ticket=https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom&TicketID=######}} when you know the URL of the OTRS ticket, but not the 16 digit ticket ID number. Since PermissionOTRS template should only be added by OTRS team members, who can look up ticket ID numbers based on URL, this option should only be used for old cases. Files using this option will be added to Category:Items with ticket OTRS permission confirmed.		empty	deprecated
nocat	Use "nocat=1" to suppress automatically added categories		empty	optional
verified_out_of_range_ID	Use "verified_out_of_range_ID=1" for the rare case when a valid ticket number is outside 1980 0000 0000 0000 to 3000 0000 0000 0000 range. There are only 8 old files that need this parameter: File:Sid mcmath.jpg File:Sid mcmath1.JPG File:McMath painting.jpg File:Sid 2.jpg File:Sid 3.jpg File:Dampfturbine Montage01.jpg File:Gasturbine Montage01.jpg File:Wolfgang Wendland.jpeg One can search for other such files by this search		empty	optional
