Hei, vil bare si fra at vi bruker mange av bildene dine på [http://www.lokalhistoriewiki.no lokalhistoriewiki.no]. De som er lastet opp der skal ligge i [http://www.lokalhistoriewiki.no/index.php/Kategori:Bilder_av_Mahlum Kategori:Bilder av Mahlum], muligens er noen av de første som ble lastet opp ikke i kategorien selv om de er korrekt merket med lisens og opphavsperson, ettersom kategorisering etter fotograf stort sett skjer gjennom maler. About category of map

I've found that one map who was categorized right, you have erased these categories and moved to another one. The map Image:Gubernia UK RSDKR, RPU y RSO.png is right that it is in spanish, but commons is used by so much wikipedias and is not compulsory to translate them into specific language to be accepted. The map is an historic map of Ukraine, as was categorized, and was into russian civil war, so included in Russia too. Is any rule that I missed that a map in one language has not to be categorized in the right category? Why being a map about russian/ukrainian history has to be categorized as "Maps in Spanish" and excluded from other category? --Shliahov 21:16, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The main problem is, that it was categorized in Maps of Ukraine, which is an overpopulated category. Try to find a narrower category. If that specific map is useful in other wikipedias than Spanish Wikipedia, it ought to be categorized thematically. If not, by its language. Mahlum 21:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

För att bilderna ska kunna lagras på Commons måste det uttryckligen vara tillåtet att använda bilden i vilket sammanhang som helst, även kommersiellt och även i förändrat skick. De högupplösta bilderna får tydligen bara användas i oförändrat skick. Det framgår inte av villkoren exakt vad som gäller för de lågupplösta bilderna, och då måste vi nog vara försiktiga och anta att de inte heller får förändras. Det bästa vore om Hugo kunde förtydliga om de lågupplösta bilderna kan användas av vem som helst enligt {{Attribution}}, {{Cc-by}}, {{Cc-by-sa}} eller liknande villkor. Slenger meg på her: jeg mener bildene kan stå i påvente av svar. Det er vel i hovedsak lavoppløsningsversjoner som er lastet opp? Et alternativ dersom vi ikke kan bruke fullversjonene under en commons-gyldig lisens, er å be GRID-Arendal bekrefte til OTRS at lavoppløste bilder kan lisensieres under cc-by-sa (eller hva de måtte foretrekke). Kart over Thamshavnbanen?

Hei, jeg ser at du har lastet opp masse "gamle" kart over jernbanestrekninger i Norge; kjempekult :) det er slikt initiativ som hjelper å gjøre Wikipedia bedre. Jeg lurte på om jeg kunne være så frimodig å spørre deg om du kunne finne et kart over Thamshavnbanen (i Orkdal/Meldal kommune, Sør-Trøndelag), og evt. lastet det opp. Jeg må inrømme at det ser ut som du laster opp fra kart anno 1902, mens Thamshavnbanen er fra 1908, så det kan hende det kan skape problemer. Grunnen jeg spør er at jeg har skrevet den Engelske artikken om banen, og vurderer å jobbe den opp til god artikkel-status. Geokoding

Hei, jeg ser at du legger på en del koordinater-maler nå. Det er veldig bra. En liten ting bare: Man skal geokode stedet man stod da bildet ble tatt (og markere retningen med «heading:»-parameteren i {{Location}}), ikke beliggenheten til hovedmotivet. Du gjør jo faktisk litt av begge deler (sammenlign Image:Villa Eika Blindern.jpg med Image:Kjemibygningen Blindern.jpg), så det er greit å være konsekvent. Når motivet er en klart definert bygning, synes jeg at det tar seg best ut på Google når kodinga er på sjølve byggverket. Annerledes hvis det er ei gate eller en utsikt der retninga har betydning. Commons:Geocoding#Geocoding_media_on_commons er relativt klar på at man skal ta utgangspunkt i kameraet. Ser man på Image:Villa Eika Blindern.jpg ser man at malen sier at «Camera location» er 59°…, så man lurer jo egentlig leserne om man oppgir beliggenheten på bygget. Hvis du mener at praksisen med å merke kamera og ikke bygning ikke er god kan du jo også ta det opp på Commons talk:Geocoding. --Kjetil_r 18:38, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bruk av bilder

Hei, vil bare si fra at vi bruker mange av bildene dine på lokalhistoriewiki.no. De som er lastet opp der skal ligge i Kategori:Bilder av Mahlum, muligens er noen av de første som ble lastet opp ikke i kategorien selv om de er korrekt merket med lisens og opphavsperson, ettersom kategorisering etter fotograf stort sett skjer gjennom maler. Vandringen din på Akershus festning 28. juni 2007 har virkelig kommet til nytte, se bygningshistorien hvor mange av dem er brukt. Cnyborg (talk) 23:43, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
