World Imaging Talk

Hello, I would like to use the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Naval_Battle_of_Augusta_by_Ambroise-Louis_Garneray.jpg photo for a book on Michiel de Ruyter. Could you please send me some information about the photagrapher, and any additional userrestrictions, if there are any.

Kind regards, Dirk van Gorp

Feel free to use it, I took it myself at the French Senate, in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. I wonder though if it would be necessary to obtain the Senate's agreement to use it in a commercial publication.... World Imaging (talk) 13:30, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Want to possibly use your coin image in a film about ancient silk route trade.

Hi, I think you should have uploaded your work as another file (I am not certain if you are allowing PHG to claim copyright, to release into public domain, over your work, or if you are releasing it). I have raised the issue for discussion at Commons:Village pump#Replacing one copyrightable work with another separate copyrightable work for enlightenment. Apologies for any inconvenience. Jappalang (talk) 15:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Maintenance_of_the_Louvre_Pyramid_structure.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
