Why hide the archives?

- INC is gone, so the extra stuff is pointless and irrelevant. Those who want to see it, it's available in the source code. It's been half a decade, so I'd figure it would be time to move on, guess not. 1989 (talk) 22:42, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- 1989, it's not about "moving on" it's about the public record, it's odd to remove these things on a number of random users but not others, we don't look for old accounts that haven't edited in a decade and then blank them either. It just seems odd and putting it "behind the source code" doesn't help a novice user that sees an image that was deleted on Wikipedia 10 (ten) years ago, comes here to ask a question, and because they see this admin's username assume that they can answer it.
