This module is the engine behind Template:Technique. However, the language-specific subtemplates Template:Technique still hold the up to date data and are used until this is switched to the language-specific submodules of this module will hold the live data.

It can also be used directly from Lua using the function p._technique().

Setting "compat=yes" makes the functions p.technique() and p._technique()
behave more like the old "Template:Technique".
