English: Crossbarry ( Crois an Bharraigh in Irish) is a small rural village on the R589 in the Innishannon parish, about fourteen miles west of Cork City, Ireland. There is a mill overlooking the local shop. The River Owenabue flows through the village. The West Cork Railway once ran through the village, and a station there served as a connection to Kinsale. The Crossbarry Ambush took place at the village during the War of Independence. A former principal of Gurrane Richard Barrett is closely associated with the area. Nearby is the Charlie Hurley Memorial.
