First, user Super Dromaeosaurus uploaded new versions of files that did notnot corresponding to the specified source and historical truth. Then he constantly puts a template for a disputed map, provided that my maps have an authoritative source. Take in account Kandi is a stubborn uploader who feels entitled to their files and anything that happens to them [2]. They refuse to discuss everytime [3][4][5]. Only time they care to interact with other people is for nothing productive. I've put four sources at File:Bulgaria Theodore Svetoslav.png, they put only two Bulgarian maps at File:Bulgaria-Theodore Svetoslav.png and never attempted to discuss any of my arguments or sources (which are not Romanian). User violates and has violated and will violate COM:OWN for years, if anyone cares.
Note I also did a report about this user months ago [6] which was for nothing as my report was ignored and I was recriminated. I was told by the user who attented my report to just upload another file (absurd solution), which I did, providing my sources. I did the same at File:Culture of the Second Bulgarian Empire (fixed).png. So now Kandi's files are inaccurate, but they refuse to acknowledge it. I decided I'd just not waste my time on pointless reports so I just attempted to enforce the template.
I'd appreciate it if someone cared on giving an actual solution to issues with this user and not just revert everything and block both for a certain time or something like that just to end faster, because that will solve nothing. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 16:19, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Yes, DR means deletion request and I closed Commons:Deletion requests/File:Azerilanguage.png. If a user reverts deletion requests of own files, then this is usually bad and can lead to block, but in my opinion the logo is simple. This is debatable, though, and I created a regular deletion request. What to do in the future in similar circumstances? Generally, if a user removes deletion requests of own files, then you should still report here, maybe not in vandalism section, but in user problems section, but the section is actually unimportant. It is so. There is the page "List of Vienna underground stations". I have added a map that shows all underground stations (closed / open / planned) and also the closed routes, because the page is called "List of Vienna underground stations". I have also corrected some routes because their position is incorrect. Gnlpfth12 has also added a map that contains a wrong route, he has drawn the districts and residential areas. That's the only map with that now. It's so confusing with the boroughs and residential areas. Before (like my card is) it was a transparent background. Now everything is gray (residential areas) and there are hundreds of numbers on the map (districts). @CreeperDigital1903: the user made one apparently bad upload two months ago (having previously made exactly one apparently good one in January). That doesn’t even call for a warning beyond the regular deletion notice; let alone a block. As for the false licence, that could easily have been a mistake, or wishful thinking, or just carelessness, and we normally give new users the benefit of the doubt—especially when their ‘claims’ are defaults offered by the uploading tool. The COM:AGF approach is to try and educate first; if that’s rebuffed or ignored, to warn; then to ask for a block only if other approaches haven’t worked.—Odysseus1479 (talk) 04:40, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

You massively spoil categorizing of images according to yours vision, without any other input, discussion, it is vandalism. Locomotives belongs to category according to operators, not livery. Category according to livery is illogical! Especially since not all operators paint the locomotives at once in its livery. In this case, the date of taking the photos, not painting, is the basis to qualifying for the appropriate category. @RP88: Indeed, when you look at a single edit it looks minor, just like a common moron with a smartphone would do it. But look at the whole pattern, persistence and time span. IMO there is no doubt that it is serious vandalism, an activity which solely purpose is to disrupt the project. Anyway, you just have semi-protected Category:Avraam Russo, so soon we may expect other files related to Avraam Russo and some other artists being vandalized. Anyway, grouping all locomotives, even these with several photographs, like Category:L30H-24064 (CWO-Lyd2-01) in one mixed category, is a step backwards. Range blocking is largely uneffective for Hanoi FPT IP addresses, you can switch between ranges by simply restarting your modem plenty of times. In fact, on the English-language Wikipedia an FPT Hanoi range was partially blocked from "User talk:Le Xuan, User talk:Bang Toa, and List of flags of Vietnam" and literally the next day Musée Annam was active on another range. Having lived in Hanoi for years I know that you are rarely on the same range for more than a fortnight, so any blocks should be precise and short enough to not have too much collateral damage. @Donald Trung Because of the way IPv6 works, most internet service providers, especially wireline ISPs, issue IPv6 /64 ranges about how they would issue single IPv4 addresses. When a /64 is issued, the first 4 blocks identify the specific modem/router/network, while the last 4 blocks of an IPv6 address are generally associated with a specific device on a network and are usually randomly generated and change over time. You are totally wrong. The buildings on the property date back to the 16th century and the younger of them are some 200 years old, except of the restaurant and some sheds which date back only some years. I do not know when the buildings were altered or renovated last time, but they are in pretty good shape and probably a cultural heritage monument and got government funding. The colour is probably the original colour of the building. (The authorities do not publish lists about cultural heritage monuments and keep it as a secret, God only knows why, they tell that they need to protect the privacy of the owner, so I have no source to verify it). The protection of German architecture applies only to construction of buildings to the plans of the architect. The architect can not prevent people from taking pictures of his building. You can photograph or paint a house in every which way you like, you don´t need permission and you owe nothing to the architect, you do not need to know his name or mention it. The FOP template suggests that there could be rights of an architect (or artist) that are limited by the FOP, and it might mean that you can not use it in another country that has not the same limitation as FOP grants. In such a country the consent of the architect is necessary to use a picture for as long as the architect has a copyright. Most of the time those countries do not enforce these rights, but they might exist. So it is nonsense on different levels to publish it under the condition of FOP: Too old, falls not under FOP, architect hundred years dead, architecture not distinctive enough to grant protection. In general, German architects don´t go to Tadschikistan courts to sue a German photographer there to prevent the use of a picture that might be prohibited in Tadschikistan, but is free to use in Germany. Well, I tell you it is in the first sentence in the vandalism report. There more pictures of the site in the category and some of them show timber framing and another timber framed barn or stable burned down unfortunately not long ago, only the outer wall is left. It would be fair to take a look on these first, that is not much effort, since I took the effort to go there and make 59 photos from every angle and I made the effort and created the category and a user gallery User:Giftzwerg_88/Fotoprojekt_Schaichhof which can be found if you dare to klick at the only links the picture has. This is the thing that upsets me. Picture 9 an 10 show the same building from a different angle and its stairs clearly don´t look like 1950 or 1960. This guy walks in, finds the random picture out of the 59 that does not look old and repeats his claim several times and asks for proof multiple times, while he has nothing but an assumption. That is a bit too much of random. And that is what looks like trolling and upsets me. Can you tell the date of German residential buildings by sight? I can't. It's a particularly central European thing, but I can date British buildings, often to the decade (second half 19th century onwards) but I'd never try this for Germania (broadly). There's a certain blandness to the overall appearance which has stayed unchanged for centuries, coupled with details that are seamlessly updated. So towns keep a consistent overall look, and you can often date the date of the photograph, but it's really hard to date the underlying building. Andy Dingley (talk) 20:07, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
Larger hole in later building around 100 to 120 years old Thousands of those exist, but most of them get altered to a stage where you no longer can see it As we need to discuss the age of the building on multiple request, I will give you some hints. Those kinds of stairs were common in the area. The stairs are attached to the building and they are protected by a roof and the structure is also used to dry agriculture products and as a balcony. When it is warm, you would eat there. It points to the west to gather the low angled evening sun, but you would suffer wind and rain comming from the main direction from the west as well. The roof will protect from hot sun on high angles and protect the walls. The place under the stairs would be used to make woodworks, to chop wood and to store firing wood or to place the tools you need. The entrance in the middle is to place the Leiterwagen with the gras to feed the animals that are in the stables to the left and right (today it is only a garage and it was left open when I took the picture). The residents live directly above the animals. In winter the animals produce heat and the floor is warmer than the surroundings, you need less wood to heat, and you will notice anything. If the animals get upset in the night they will wake you up with their noises. Buildings of a later date might follow a similar pattern, but the hole in the middle would be much larger. This building was made when agriculture in the area changed from keeping animals on pasture to keeping animals in stables. This allows to feed more animals based on the size of the land and creates less conflict with planting crops. Then you can see the pillars of the stairs. Look at the bottom. There is a gap between the pillar and the cornerstone. The pillars would sit on the cornerstone, but a little moisture always gets trapped under the pillar and the wood rots slowly away over a longer period. During renovation the pillars got lifted up to their former height and the gap is bridged by a steel construction. The original wooden structure is preserved and the steel testifies that the building got a major renovation. So yes, it probably is a cultural monument, given its history. But how would I know all that crap? I am a random photopgrapher that has no idea what he is looking at and gets questioned. I want to step into this discussion because I'm “the vandal.” There are two parts to my response: personal and general. While I understand that the personal part is not that important for the Wikimedia community, the accusation of vandalism, and especially of being “the vandal” person, is offensive for me and harms the spirit of the community. (1) I'm not using profanity words in my speech, as it's written in my Russian Wiktionary profile, and I'm against its usage in the speech of other people. Moreover, I've even developed a profanity filter library for Python (here is the proof: https://github.com/rominf/profanity-filter; it's also in the first results in Google by queries like “profanity filter Python”). Also, I've spent more than 800 euros to prepare my room and hours of practicing (including lessons of voice acting) for a semi-professional voice recording (including but not limited to poetry on Russian Wikisource, and more than 1.5 thousand phrases for Russian Wiktionary). Do I look like “the vandal” still? (2) Russian Wiktionary rules clearly states that Wiktionary includes all the words, including the profane ones. Also, having some expertise, gained while developing the profanity filter library, I understood, that it's a very complex topic, you cannot draw a clear boundary between what is profane and what is not. For example, the very normal originally word “козёл” (goat), basically lost its original meaning in common speech (at least from what I hear in the speech of ordinary people), because of urbanization and the fact that we rarely see them in real life in the cities. But, it gained another, quite offensive meaning. Should we ban this word? I doubt so. Profanity is a large part of human speech, and projects like Wiktionary try to describe it fully, whether it's pleasant for somebody or not. And yet another argument probably exaggerated one, but relevant nevertheless, since you wrote about “LinguaLibre” of being a cultural project. Do you consider Alexander Pushkin as a cultural person? I think nobody will argue about his influence on the Russian culture. And he used profane words, including the most “dirty” ones. According to your logic, schools should ban Pushkin, as being “the vandal”, which would be a disaster for all the educational system. The accuser must state his reason and do not complain without prior notice. When we have to complain that the number of violations is high and include most of the contributions. Otherwise, measures must be taken so that users are not attacked due to ethnicity. I have been active in Persian Wikipedia since 2010 and so far I have not received any warning and I am not blocked. user:Rohalamin has been creating an account for about 6 months and makes misplaced accusations against users and seeks margins. In the third month of its activity, the user:Rohalamin started a Featured article review poll to remove the Featured grade of Tabriz (Capital of East Azerbaijan province) article. A poll that was unsuccessfully closed by one of the administrators of Persian Wikipedia without a participant and special opinion. You can see the user's significant comments in: Comparing Tabriz with Bushehr or claiming that the article was written with prejudice; while article has reached this grade with the participation and efforts of experienced Wikipedia users. It has been recently blocked by @Taivo for a year, but then unblocked by @Ankry for a mysterious reason. If a registered user had a problem with logging in, it should have been granted ipblock-exempt. Or hardblock should have been changed to softblock. Anyway, lifting the block was a bad idea. BTW. as far as I remember it was even globally blocked a few times for an extended period (i.e. at least a month).

IMO softblocks in case of IP ranges and semi-protection in case of files, categories, etc. discourage vandals pretty well. Regarding width – yes, I think that so wide block is needed. A bunch of completely independent people thinks so.
