- also applies to File:Life cycle of Echinococcus felidis.png
I am afraid but the drawings in these two files appear to be copyrighted (see the watermark on the rodent). Without permission from the artist, we will have to delete it. Gnom (talk) 06:37, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
Additional information:
- First: This was noticed in Dewiki, cf. archived discussion in de:Wikipedia:Urheberrechtsfragen/Archiv/2023/04#Datei:E shiquicus life cycle.png (in German, of course).
- File:E shiquicus life cycle.png uses images from inkart.net. Nowhere on this site some hint for a commons compatible license can be found.
- In the upper part the image is from this page: Tibetan Sand Fox (direct image link).
- The lower part is the one containing the watermark and is a somewhat distorted copy of American Pika (Direct image link). The latter is by the way factually wrong, because Echinococcus shiquicus is present only in Asia (Qinghai–Tibet plateau region).
- File:Life cycle of Echinococcus felidis.png:
- The images of a lion (top) and a warthog (large in center) must be from other sources, at least I could not find them on inkart.net; same for the smaller images on left side.
- The image of a buffalo does not show, though, an African buffalo (all other animals are African species, E. felidis is present only in Africa), but probably an American bison or perhaps a European bison, so this is again a serious factual error.
- Despite the image source (Echinococcus shiquicus and Echinococcus felidis) states a cc3 licence I would for this image vote to delete it according to precautionary principle given the copyright violations in the other graphic.
