Description
Deutsch: Uferschnepfe (Limosa limosa) ist mit einer Körperlänge bis zu 45 Zentimeter und einer Flügelspannweite bis zu 75 Zentimer ein großer Watvogel. Das Brutgebiet reicht von Island bis Ostsibirien und die Überwinterungsgebiete liegen meist in Europa und Afrika. Die Uferschnepfe steht auf der Vorwarnliste der gefährdeten Tierarten.
English: Black-tailed godwit (Limosa limosa) is a large wading bird with a body length of up to 45 centimeters and a wingspan of up to 75 centimeters. The breeding range extends from Iceland to eastern Siberia and the wintering areas are mostly in Europe and Africa. The black-tailed godwit is on the early warning list of endangered species.
