GULF OF ADEN (Sept. 19, 2012) An MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 261 (Reinforced) lifts off from the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). Gunston Hall and the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU) are part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
