| Description |
One of my first prime focus DSLR images. Camera: Canon Rebel XT Telescope: Ultima 8 PEC Exposure: 10 seconds Software Used: MaxDSLR for aquisition and dark frame. Photoshop for processing. I was very impressed that I was able to get some stars as faint as 14th magnitude in a 10 second exposure. You can also see my stars streaked a bit since my polar alignment was off. This was only an intial test of the camera and the software, so I wasn't expecting too much, but I was still impressed. The image covers about 30 arc minutes across. |
