Summary
[edit]DescriptionAnasazi Petroglyphs (5620719273).jpg |
Tucson and Avra Valley had previously been occupied by a people known as the Anasazi, or the Forgotten People. The Anasazi have disappeared without a trace, save for some random petroglyphs like these, seen at Saguaro National Park's west sector, that afford a bit of a glimpse into their life and culture. Today, behind my back in Avra Valley, the Tohono O'odham, or the Desert People, live, and much of the land belongs to their reservation. Many people believe that the Tohono O'odham are the descendants of the Anasazi. |
