Description
Français : Château de la Ménardière, officiellement commune de St-Marc la Lande (79), tout comme le lotissement attenant « Village de la Verronnerie ». Mais tiraillé entre Mazières en Gâtine, toute proche...

C'est une propriété privée possédant un parc. La maison de retraite (on parle aujourd'hui d'EHPAD !) voit le jour en 1958, après avoir accueilli un pensionnat de jeunes filles.

Le centre bourg se situe à 4,5 km, tandis que celui de Mazières est à moins de 500 m. Le découpage administratif de certaines communes du secteur laisse songeur... voilà sans doute pourquoi, les regroupements ont autant la cote ces dernières années !
