Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The iron and galvanized sheet metal factory in Zemun was founded by Prometna bank on July 10, 1936. The ceremonial laying and consecration of the foundations was performed by the engineer Miloš Savčić, when a charter preserved in oil was built into the foundations. Miloš Savčić personally designed the building of the sheet metal factory and took care of all the accompanying details. The rolling mill successfully started operating in November 1938. This factory, as well as all projects of Prometna banka, aimed at emancipation of domestic industry from the influence of foreign ones. Sheet metal is certainly one of the most important items in construction and the need for it was great.
