The Global Hawk unmanned aircraft sits at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Va on Sept. 19, 2012 during HS3 Media Day. This shot gives a good perspective to the Global Hawk's large wingspan. The 44-foot-long Global Hawk has a total wingspan of more than 116 feet. The aircraft flew around Tropical Storm Nadine in the Atlantic later that day and gathered data .
