Martes gwatkinsii English: A Nilgiri marten found dead due to unknown causes in a pasture near Sandynallah, Nilgiri.Necropsy lesions suggested that the cause of death could be due to attack by feral dogs. Nilgiri martens is a mustelid, endemic to the Western Ghats region of India. It is a reclusive animal and only rarely has been photographed.
