| Description |
English: Hybrid Basalt laminated sheet. Raw Basalt fiber fabric and carbon fiber fabric material is processed together with epoxy resin or other resin systems. The raw basalt and carbon fabric and resin system are procesed together using heat and pressure to produce a very high quality sheet laminate material. The completed basalt / carbon fiber hybrid sheet posesses very high strength properties that can be greater than metals. The finished sheet is however extremely light weight, weighing a fraction of its metal counterpart. The biggest advantage of a basalt / carbon fiber sheet is a significant reducing in cost of the final product, while still maintaining properties very near a regular carbon fiber product. |
