Summary

[edit]
Description Talos No. 2 is a 1977 sculpture by artist James Lee Hanson and is located on SW 6th Avenue and Stark Street in downtown Portland. You will find Talos No. 1 in Fresno California, of all places, and it was created in 1961. Talos takes its name from ancient Greek mythology. According to the Greeks, Talos was a large bronze man given to King Minos of Crete by Zeus to serve as a watchman over the Agean island. You may be familiar with Ray Harryhausen's scary Talos in his classic film "Jason and the Argonauts". - www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxA3wFYxUB8
