On bardait aussi les vantaux de bandes de fer horizontales posées à recouvrement. Ces bandes étaient unies ou découpées en manière d'écailles ou de lambrequins (fig. 7), maintenues les unes sur les autres, ainsi que l'indique la section A, avec force clous qui pénétraient dans le bois.
