Petechiae bruising on hip
I have random bruising on my hip today that my husband found. I don’t remember bumping it or hurting it at all today so it seems strange to come out of no where. And I don’t have any marks anywhere else. Last week I got my blood work done and my platelets and blood counts were normal. What could this be? And is it concerning? I will let my doctor know at my next apt. but would there be any reason to reach out and let him know sooner?

- That looks like popped blood vessels to me, like what you would get in your face when you vomit. Have you been vomiting lately? If so, it could just be from straining yourself too much during it.
I know when I scratch an itchy spot too hard that happens to my skin, maybe that's what you did? Put some coco butter on it and it should go away. If it is for sure a bruise I know I get bruises all the time and have no idea how I got them, it's perfectly normal and fine. Have you had problem with low iron (anemia)? I'm an anemic and bruise really easy, I take my prenatals and my iron pills to help out.

Oh that could be it. I think I have gotten it before like before pregnancy from itching too hard. I wonder if it is that? Thank you. And my blood counts were fine when I got them checked last week. So I don’t think I’m anemic.
