  • When my boys have a lot of congestion they will get the eye boogers when they wake up. It's from the extra pressure trying to find a way out
  • This might be far-fetched, but my dog has seasonal allergies and gets eye boogers just like that every year around the same time. So you could research it to see if that’s a thing with humans as well.
  • Possibly clogged tear duct. My friends little guy spent his entire first year with eye boogers like this in one eye and he almost needed surgery for it. He grew out of it. Google what you can do to help if you notice this happening a lot, or, ask your pediatrician at the next visit.

  • Thank you Ladies! He has an appointment tomorrow! I’ve read that he could have an infection. 😓
  • My had horrible eye boogers due to clogged tear ducts. Eye infection usually accompanied by redness. If it’s just boogers probably clogged tear duct. For that, doctor recommended washing her eyes several times a day and doing gentle massage to help unclog the ducts. U can find description how on google.
  • My poor girl has blocked tear ducts. She often gets crusty eyes and also tears a lot. I pray it goes away on its own and doesn’t need surgery 🙏🏻
