Dear Friend of Spiritual Life Center,
As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "For everything there is a season." I am writing to let you know that I will be completing my tenure as Senior Minister of Spiritual Life Center and entering a new season in my life.
My current contract ends on December 31st of this year. Rather than renewing it, I will remain with Spiritual Life Center on a month-to-month basis for up to five months (May 31, 2025) if needed. This time frame will give your newly constituted Board of Trustees the time to create and finalize a transition plan that best serves SLC's long-term interests.
The Board will keep you apprised of their progress as they develop the process, the plan, and the timeline for the transition. There is much to be done in days to come so please keep me, the Board of Trustees, and SLC staff in your prayers.
In the meantime, I will work closely with our Board of Trustees and our Spiritual Life Center community to ensure a smooth transition to SLC's next stage of development. Your support and dedication are not just invaluable, they are crucial.
Our spiritual community with its New Thought Unity teachings, inspiring Sunday Experiences, WOW Wednesdays, prayer support, youth education, community action, community meals, classes, book clubs, small groups, and more is already living out our mission:
"To transform lives to make a positive difference in our world as we love, serve, and remember."
Our mission is our evolutionary purpose - why we are here and who we have come here to be. We are poised to do even more in the future.
Our purpose is more significant than any one person and will continue beyond my or any minister’s tenure. Whatever ends up being our transition plan, rest assured that it will be the right and perfect course of action to carry our purpose forward. It will instill confidence in the future of Spiritual Life Center and ensure its continued growth and success.
