Maina, Henry

Henry Maina is the director of ARTICLE 19 Eastern Africa, the leading international human rights NGO on freedom of expression and right to information operating in 14 Eastern African countries. As an active member of the freedom of information (FOI) and freedom of expression community of practitioners in Africa, he is part of a core group of FOI practitioners who worked on the recently adopted African Model Law on Access to Information. He holds a Master's degree in international development and human rights from Warwick University in the United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Education (Arts), Honors degree (Moi) and a post-graduate diploma in mass communication (Nairobi).
