Going with Sonic during the offseason

Wondering why they didn't take the opportunity to kick an easy field goal from like the 2 yard line but instead spiked their 3rd down and let the play clock run out several seconds to take them into halftime. Especially when they were only leading 6-3, and in the end they only lost by 4. And thinking about going into receive the kick in the 3rd quarter with a 9-6 lead, after scoring SOMETHING before half. Why not TRY
