Anleitungen Basismaschine
Beachten Sie neben den Sicherheitshinweisen in dieser Anleitung auch die Sicherheitshin-
weise in den Anleitungen der Basismaschine.
Personalqualifikation
Ausschliesslich «Qualifiziertes Personal» darf das Produkt installieren und benutzen. Was
«Qualifiziertes Personal» bedeutet, zeigt das Kapitel «Sicherheit - Personalqualifikation» in
der Betriebsanleitung der Basismaschine.
Statische Elektrizität
Bestimmte elektrische und elektronische Bauteile können durch statische Elektrizität be-
schädigt werden. Bei Arbeiten an elektrischen und elektronischen Komponenten müssen
entsprechende Schutzmassnahmen gegen elektrostatische Entladungen (ESD Electro-
Static Discharge) getroffen werden.

Um den Crimpsimulator zu montieren, muss die Schutzhaube geöffnet werden. Wäh-
rend des Testens muss die Schutzhaube immer geschlossen bleiben.

Schutzhaube kann während des Testens offen bleiben. Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist es
aber empfohlen, die Schutzhaube geschlossen zu halten.

RS-232 interface
If there is no RS-232 interface, an additional USB port for the USB-to-RS232 adapter is
required.
HINWEIS
If the serial link kit is connected to the computer by means of the USB-to-RS232 ad-
apter, you must install a driver. You will find the driver software and instructions in the
serial link kit software set.
NOTE
In earlier software versions, problems could arise when you are testing the functiona-
lity of the Komax crimp presses!
4 Installation

The safety cover must be opened in order to mount the crimp simulator. During tes-
ting, the safety cover must always remain closed.

cover can remain open during testing. For safety reasons, we recommend that you
keep the safety cover closed.
Procedure
ff Remove the crimp tool.
ff Install the crimp simulator 1 as shown in
the figure.

You can download the CMA setup files from Komax Direct (https://direct.komaxgroup.
com).
Procedure
ff Start «Setup.exe».
The installation window will then open.
ff Follow the instructions from the installa-
tion wizard.
