Jenna Ortega (Actor)
Actress Jenna Ortega is one of six children of businessman Edward Ortega and nurse Natalie Ortega. Jenna, who is of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, began acting at a very early age. Her acting debut involved a minor role in the sitcom Rob as well as a guest role in CSI: NY in 2012. She made her film debut as the U.S. vice president’s daughter in Iron Man 3. She also played the younger version of Gina Rodriguez’s Jane Villanueva in Jane the Virgin.
She appeared in The Little Rascals Save the Day(2014) and After Worlds (2015) as well as the Netflix series Richie Rich (2015) before hitting it big as Harley Diaz in the Disney sitcom Stuck in the Middle, in which she played a middle child of seven siblings who had a knack for inventing gadgets that helped her large family. She also voiced Princess Isabel in Elena of Avalor, the Disney animated series.
Ortega then went on to play Ellie Alves in season 2 of the Netflix hit show You, and she starred in slasher films like The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020), Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023) as well as Studio 666(2022), X (2022) and American Carnage (2022). She appeared in Netflix’s Yes Day (2021) and The Fallout (2021). She released her book, It’s All Love: Reflections for Your Heart & Soul in 2021.
Ortega is most well-known for her portrayal of Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton’s modern-day take on The Addams Family, which is currently in production for Season 2 on Netflix. She will also appear in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the follow-up to the original 1988 film starring Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder and more. She also appeared in a music video for “Taste” off of Sabrina Carpenter’s new album Short ‘n Sweet, which paid homage to Death Becomes Her (1992) starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn.
