Amazon Studios unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming fantasy drama, Carnival Row. Set in a world where magical creatures such as Faeries and Fawns have been driven from their homeland thanks to bloodshed, Carnival Row follows the desperate struggle that reunites two star-crossed lovers played by Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad).

Carnival Row started off as a hot screenplay written by Travis Beacham that caught the eye of Guillermo del Toro. After languishing in development for over a decade, the story was reimagined as a sprawling television series, epic in scope. Cara Delevingne plays Vingnette Stonemoss, a fiery faerie rebel who finds herself a refugee in the “Burgue.” There she crosses paths with her former human lover, a detective named Rycroft “Philo” Philostrate. Philo is tasked with investigating a series of shocking attacks against the mythological folks who live in the “Carnival Row” section of the Burgue, all while feeling haunted by his own experiences in the great war. Vingnette, meanwhile, is trying to adjust to her new life as a repressed member of society.

Carnival Row premieres on Amazon Prime Video on August 30, 2019. It will initially be available to stream in more than 200 countries and territories. Additional dubbed foreign language versions are set to arrive on November 22, 2019.
