HBP Neurorobotics Platform

Description

Use the Neurorobotics Platform (NRP) developed in the HBP to connect spiking or tensorflow neural networks to virtual and real robots. This enables you to conduct embodiment experiments online or on your computer. We use Gazebo, OpenSim, ODE, SPlisHSPlasH as physics simulators and support NEST, PyNN, SpiNNaker, TensorFlow and custom Python as brain simulators. That way you can build brains for bodies and bodies for brains.

Visit out website at http://neurorobotics.net to learn how to use the Platform.

This new versions adds the following features:

  • Fluid simulation
  • Plotting tools in the frontend
  • Human-in-the-loop improvement in the Unity client
  • Graphical experiment designer
  • Web robot designer
  • Improved SpiNNaker integration
  • Support of HBP EBRAINS Sonata brain file format and SP6 Cerebellum model
  • New models and experiment templates
  • Python 3 ready

Notes

This is the last version released by the original project technical leads. The project continues with a new head and we wish them as much fun as we had developing the Neurorobotics Platform.
