AUBURN, WA – Close finishes were the theme of the day as over 100 Corgis made their way to race in the 2024 Corgi World Championship Races presented by Amazon benefiting The Alzheimer’s Association at Emerald Downs on a beautiful July Sunday.
After nine qualifying heats and last year’s winner Milo Benz owned by Kaela Belen and Nick Pecache of Puyallup made for an exciting championship heat for the 10-Corgi affair.
Milo Bigglesworth owned by Amy Williams & B. J. Williams of Rice Lake, WI, raced to the lead from the get go and dashed to the wire winning by 3 lengths over Captain of Pacifica, CA. Murray of Langley, WA checked in a spirited third.


The Emerald Downs Corgi Races will be shown on ESPN8: The Ocho in early August.
