Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.12 per cent, to 30034.85 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, surged by 0.47 per cent, to 3196.92 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.12 per cent, to 8526.88 points.
The index, EGX100 index increased by 0.09 per cent, to 11666.54 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,251,277,195,539 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 1,024,382,030 Egyptian pounds and 45,274,292 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,069,656,322 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
Shares of Alexandria Mineral Oils Co. (AMOC) soared by 7.40 per cent, to close at the price of 8.270 Egyptian pounds a share.
Shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM) climbed by 6.03 per cent, to trade at the price of 34.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
Shares of Cairo Poultry Company (POUL) jumped by 5.78 per cent, to the purchasing price of 15.560 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
Shares of Cairo Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industries (CPCI) plunged by 5.52 per cent, to close at 103.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
Shares of Obour Land for Food Industries (OLFI) dived by 4.08 per cent, to close at the price of 18.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
Shares of El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops (ELNA) sank by 3.70 per cent, to close at 28.090 Egyptian pounds a share.
