I recently acquired a copy of the album, and the only song that's mentioned as being recorded live is Essaywhuman, and it says that it was recorded in Slovenia, not Germany. Numerous comments that I've read from Questlove (see Homegrown, Vol. 2's liner notes, for one example) indicate that the band was given free recording time in a studio somewhere (I can't recall if the exact location was named or not - I'd have to check) to record their debut. Not to mention that aside from the aforementioned Essaywhuman, it doesn't sound like a "live" album to me. ~~Are there any other sources out there that can show otherwise?
