:::::::No problem - I've already reverted the ones I'm interested in. <span style="border:2px solid; font-family:Trebuchet MS;">[[User:AlH42|<span style="background-color: red; color: white"><span style="padding-left:3px;"> </span>Alan<span style="padding-left:3px;"> </span></span>]]</span> ([[User talk:AlH42|talk]]) 13:19, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
::::::::I think you'll find that all the edits you reverted were made prior to my discussion with the IP editor above. I don't have a view on which of you is right about those, but the relevant articles' talk pages, or a relevant wikiproject, would seem to be the proper place to discuss it - that way, discussion could continue if the user's IP address jumps. ::::::::The issue I had was that using machine coding when a simple word would do is likely to be arcane and confusing to the reader. I find marking a column of sums of money looks far more pleasing to the eye and useful to the reader if it uses, say "US $", "€" or "£ Sterling" than a string of characters that look more like stock ticker codes or the abbreviation for some unfamiliar foreign currency.
