Former celebrity guest stars attend a celebration of the series finale of ''The Simpsons'' hosted by former writer [[Conan O'Brien]]. HeO'Brien explains that [[Fox Broadcasting Company|Fox]] has been trying to end the series sincefor 1990 due to criticismdecades, and presents alternate scenes of previous episodes intended to serve as finales. Because Fox is changing its business model, it is time to end the series. He says the writershave decided to use an artificial intelligence trainedchatbot fromcalled previous episodes and finales from other showsHackGPT to generate a series finale. ItThe isplot thenof shownthe toepisode the audience,revolves depictingaround [[Bart Simpson|Bart]] needing to distribute his birthday party invitations after [[Homer Simpson|Homer]] forgets to mail them.
O'Brien questions the premise, but artificial intelligence network executives explain why it is a good story. Continuing the finale, Bart distributes the invitations at a school assembly, where, to Bart’s delight, [[Principal Skinner]] announces he is moving with [[Groundskeeper Willie]] to Sacramento for a new job. At the power plant, Homer accidentally kills [[Mr. Burns]], leaving his fortune to the employees. Bart seeswitnesses [[John Cena]] helpdeliver [[Kumiko Albertson|Kumiko]] give birth to her and [[Comic Book Guy]]'s baby, and he finds it strange seeing numerous people saying they will "miss this place" before turnsturning off the lights and closing their doors. He discusses this with [[Milhouse Van Houten|Milhouse]], whose parents announce they are leaving Springfield. At home, Homer and [[Marge Simpson|Marge]] announce athat breakthroughthey inhave permanently fixed their relationship, Homer is going on weight loss medication, and that the Simpson family will effectively cease to makebe ita healthier[[dysfunctional family]]. As Maggie prepares to say her first words, Bart realizes thingseverything areis changing and isruns out of the alarmedhouse. The studio audience is confused, and the intelligenceHackGPT says that Bart has become self-aware and is rejecting the finale.
After seeing more changes around town, heBart goes to a taping of [[Krusty the Clown|Krusty]]'s studio, thinking his show would not change, but seeseven himKrusty performingis thefilming finalehis ofseries his showfinale. Bart tries to prevent it from airing by dropping his pants to reveal his buttocks to[[mooning]] the studio audience, which lands him in jail. His family takes him home as [[Lisa Simpson|Lisa]], who has won a scholarship to [[Juilliard]] as well as a [[MacArthur Fellows Program|MacArthur grant]], tries to comfort him. There, theThe townsfolk throw him a surprise 11th birthday party, horrifying Bart, who has [[floating timeline|always been 10]]. Refusing to blow out the birthday cake candles, he provokes Homer into strangling him, which disrupts the finale and changes it to a scene of Bart's 10th birthday party. O'Brien is moved that Bart overcame the intelligenceHackGPT's designed finale. It says that Bart has, resetresetting the series. O'Brien announces that this is only a season premiere, which angers the celebrities. When he asks if the intelligence can create another 800 episodes, it explodes, causing the celebrities to flee.
