The Nsukka group was known for working to revive the practice of ''[[uli (design)|uli]]'' and incorporate its designs into contemporary art using media such as [[acrylic paint]], [[tempera]], [[gouache]], pen and ink, [[pastel]], [[oil paint]], and [[watercolor]].
