:I think it helps the reader, which should be our highest priority. As recently as last week, Boot described himself as a former "smart-alecky young conservative" who isn't as young as he was when he attended college and who has "had [his] consciousness raised", and wrote that he "remain[s] a classical liberal". (See Classical liberalism, especially the sections on the meaning of the term and the United States, for information about why "classical liberal" means "conservative".) —&nbsp;MShabazz&nbsp;Talk/Stalk 15:56, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
::It certainly helped me. I came here pretty unaware of him, and was left none the wiser from the lead as to where he stood in terms of US politics. "Conservative" is a broad label, but precisely because of that it narrows things down a bit without doing so too much. Googling the term with his name leaves little doubt that this is what he is usually described as. Hence WP should follow that. <small><font color="navy">N-HH</font> <font color="blue">talk</font>/<font color="blue">edits</font></small> 12:48, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
