AIDS Memorial Quilt displayed on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. in the United States of America. Each square of the 54-ton quilt represents a death from AIDS complications.[1] Most of those memorialized are Americans.

  • basic explanation of HIV/AIDS pathophysiology - how the virus enters the body, how untreated HIV leads to AIDS, how AIDS allows diseases like PCP and TB and so on to attack the body
  • history & sociopolitical aspects of HIV/AIDS
  • history of medication for HIV
  • HIV prevention, including PrEP and PEP
  • outsize impacts on gay/bi men, trans people, drug users, prostitutes, and prison inmates in most countries. Differences in the AIDS epidemic between sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of the world.
