Copy and paste move of "User:Векочел/Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum"
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give User:Векочел/Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into User:Векочел/Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Emir of Wikipedia (talk)
Moving articles against talk page consensus
Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Wilhelm II, German Emperor does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! --Renat 21:25, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi there,
Unfortunately I had to revert your recent edit to this article. I have listed the reason in my edit summary. Additionally it was not explained why you removed a language template and reference to NI.
Let me know if you want to discuss, Cheers
Salman of Saudi Arabia
As a reigning king by nature is a statesman and political leader I had to revert your edit. Thanks for you understanding.-- Dewritech (talk) 14:45, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for catching that! It's not the first dreadful goof... your care is much appreciated. Haploidavey (talk) 04:32, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
