Penny Spencer (born 1 January 1948) is a British actress, best remembered for her performance as coquettish schoolgirl Sharon Eversleigh in the LWT television comedy series Please Sir! (1968–70).[1]

She attended Coombe Girls School in New Malden, Surrey.[2]

Career

Spencer's TV appearances include UFO (1970)[3] and Public Eye (1972). Her films includeThe Whisperers (1967), The Best Pair of Legs in the Business (1973) and Under the Doctor (1976).

In 2017 and 2019 she was a guest at conventions organised by the Gerry and Sylvia Anderson appreciation group Fanderson,[4][5] and in 2018 appeared at a Please Sir! reunion event.[6]
