Requesting that semi-protection (as of the time this comment was posted) to be extended to indefinite: There is a troll who keeps spamming barely-readable sections on the Help Desk, and previous attempts to deter this involved temporarily protecting the page for between one day and a few days, but almost immediately the vandal comes back. 208.114.63.4 (talk) 14:47, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes the troll is User:MidAtlanticBaby editing logged out. I don't want to exclude IPs and new editors from the Help Desk longer than necessary, so I am reluctant to semi-protect indefinitely. PhilKnight (talk) 14:51, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

- ...which will just prompt him to create autocon-buster sleeper accounts and continue. While MAB does the bulk of his shenigans via VPNs, he has also created and used accounts to do the same thing.
