Your additions to Fremantle railway line, Perth

Hi Jlong2008, I have seen your additions to Fremantle railway line, Perth and I am very sure they, along with additions to the other lines, would be a huge improvement to the rail pages. However, as Wikipedia is not a place to make predictions, the second picture has got to go. The first picture is great but Fremantle is spelled incorrectly. Lastly, your pictures look a lot like the original Transperth maps, so I hope that these graphics are indeed self-made as Wikipedia has a stringent copyright policy. Thanks. 리지강.wa.au talk 13:48, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Even if they are self-made, Transperth holds a copyright on the little stylised train symbol they use, and the use of the Transperth timetable font for the stations is not promising either. I have deleted it per I3 (improper licence). I'd also note that the Fremantle railway line, Perth article already has route maps, so a duplicate one may not be necessary. Your additions to Fremantle railway line, Perth

Please note there may well be problems about graphic overload on your edits to the article - (and indeed a possible need to revert) - one issue for articles is that they require WP:RS, and references or citations - for WP:V and WP:N - extra route maps (when there is already one on the right hand side) may be considered as being quite unnecessary. Please read up on the issues before adding similar graphics on other articles. Does the article really need all that graphic information when there is not even one citation? cheers - this will also be up for discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Western_Australia - thanks SatuSuro 07:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop

Please do not add further items to railway line articles until a discussion of at least a couple of days occurs at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Western_Australia - meanwhile - have a look at thge extended welcome template - you should find a bit more about the place - cheers SatuSuro 08:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks u guys... jks

Hi Jlong 2008 here!!! the Creater of that map on the fremantle line... Thanks for making a 13yr old's feelings hurt... i put lots of effort into that! There is no coopyright issues in it i think... The bus logo i made my self. The writing is just random writing i found on my puter, i got the colours as close as possible and also... it was made originally for an english assignment! I got lots of praise from my computer teachers and art teachers for that!... they watched me make it!!! so anyway... now I've made ones for all the transperth and transwa lines for no use now! plus i was just making the pages a bit more attractive. One user from the perth thingy said that it would be a great idea for me to make one for every line... which i did! i even made the station signs to go on the station pages.. but who care bout that... now i feel bad bout wat i did... BYE! --Jlong2008 (talk) 08:30, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please note that just because you make some images - does not mean they might be - suitable without going through a process to make sure they are ok - there is nothing to feel bad about - you just have to be a bit more patient rather than saying bye - you have to understand there are things about online encyclopedias more than bit more attractive - there are processes to understand what is already in an article - and what can go in and what cannot. If you actually hang around a bit longer than a day - and actually readup - you could well find other areas that your obviously good computer skills could be put to use - just because a couple of us have an issue - does not mean you might not be able to help in other areas - change your mind - stay around and have a look at a bit more - you might be suprised to find there are other area where your skills could be of great help! Trains in perth

Sorry bout before! But the only thing i like is the metropolitan train services in perth... ive even had prediction about the futuer eg. fremantle extenting from fremantle to rockingham and from perth to airport... i even made a map for that.. cool eh... i wish i could show u though!!--Jlong2008 (talk) 08:45, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good but wikipedia is not a crystal ball http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_crystal_ball - try looking at something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Introduction - or have a look at articles that might connect with the fremantle train line - if you go through the articles about the lines and stations there might be something other than the extra route map that might need some help - and if you get an idea - try talking with others at the WA project discussion page first - it would be a good idea to run the idea past first - then its less likely to have problems if it is given an ok - cheers SatuSuro 09:11, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
