Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.--Mariano(t/c) 20:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:ArielOlivetti BuenosAires 2007.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:ArielOlivetti BuenosAires 2007.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:33, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Olivettiariel.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Olivettiariel.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:33, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Larry Bird has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. --Merry Headcheese!-hexaChord2 02:07, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
WikiProject Comics
Hello. I'm one of editors in WikiProject Comics. Thank you for your contributions to articles on comic book artists. We'd just like you to note that WikiProject Comics Manual of Style is not to use "vol. 1" for comic book series, but only "vol. 2" and up. Also, the general style is to place the cover date ("March 1963" or "March 1963 - April 1982", for example) next to issues mentioned. Thanks. --Tenebrae (talk) 03:44, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- As you ignored my request above not to use non-standard formatting that is contrary to WPC MOS, I have reverted your last changes.
- If you again make edits that are clearly contrary to standard formatting, this will be considered vandalism and an admin will be asked to intervene.
- Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/editorial guidelines and [1]], as well as the overall Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics. -- Tenebrae (talk) 03:13, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- You have persisted in making unhelpful, non-standard edits, with no edit summaries or discussion. I will ask an admin to intervene.--Tenebrae (talk) 15:57, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
along with the reason you believe the block is unjustified, or email the blocking administrator. For alternative methods to appeal, see Wikipedia:Appealing a block. Daniel Case (talk) 16:31, 4 October 2009 (UTC) - Since it still seems to be a topic of concern:
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/Style guidance#Titles with numerous volumes - "vol. 1" is not used. Second and later volumes are denoted though.
- In any case, the volume designation is not part of the title and should not be italicized any more than the issue number should be.
- Oh... and picking up the same editing habits that got you blocked previously is not a good idea.
- Thanks

- 2nd and last warning given the above - Please stop adding "(vol. 1)" to comic book titles and stop italicizing "(vol. x)"
- You've done this across 3 articles since you came back. That is way more than enough.
