Tiger Woods
As mentioned, the infobox on many articles is not standardised – the layout changes, as do the fields. It is also not a template. Over 50 articles, and increasing, are now using the template. I have been inserting it mostly on articles that currently have no infobox, of which there are more than those that do, and it will take time to progress through them all. You could help. If you don't like it and wish to discuss it further, the Golf WikiProject talk page would be the best the place to do it, rather than the individual article's talk page. In the mean time edit wars are not helpful, so please leave the template in place.
If you wish to clean up your talk page, it is best to archive it rather than deleting the content. wjematherbigissue 10:23, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Images in navbox titles
Hi,
You recently re-added two tiny, almost illegible images to the title bars of the {{US Presidents}} and {{USVicePresidents}} articles ([1], [2]). Furthermore, you did so while providing no edit summary of any kind; it is considered common courtesy to provide a summary, especially if undoing someone else's work. It looks as if you've also done the same to literally hundreds of other articles over the course of the last 24 hours - was this discussed in advance anywhere? As these emblems are practically impossible to discern in many cases they are rather superfluous to the templates; these should be removed again, unless there was consensus that such emblems are a good idea. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 15:48, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Might I add they (President and Vice President Navbox) have been that way for two years now and your making haste about it and I was doing the others' because they deserved it and I took hard time out of my day and don't give me that crude language about undoing your work when they undid mine! Bluedogtn (talk) 16:39, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- What others have done is not my concern; it is your behaviour which is improper here. You have again reverted a different user who pointed to a guideline on this issue; once again you did not use an edit summary. Discussion is not an optional part of the editing process. I'll take this to the template talk, but I don't expect you to continue to edit war in the interim. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 16:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I want to note the Israel and Canadian pages for their political and cabinet figures have their flags and icons on their boxes so it is a concensus. Go check things out before you disregard others' work in haste! Steven Harper Tzipi Livni EXAMPLES!
- I've continued this discussion at template talk: US Presidents#Seal in title bar. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 17:10, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Your infobox template
If you put a {{db-author}} tag on it for speedy deletion, that should do it. Regards. wjematherbigissue 17:57, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

- Well as long as your not try to prove a point . I'd welcome icon removal from templates Gnevin (talk) 19:09, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Adding Unnecessary templates
The Players champions and Tour Championship champions templates are nice, but not necessary. All players have a list of their PGA Tour wins, and many already have the details which you seek to provide by creating the "Other significant championships" heading. See Career achievements of Tiger Woods, and you will notice that the information contained in your new section is already there. Please do not add the templates to all golfers, because all will have to be deleted. We all agree that those tournaments are important, but given the sheer number of existing important templates (ie for major championships), more are unnecessary. In the future, when seeking to add such details to so many pages, starting a discussion in order to reach a consensus would be helpful. Thanks, and happy editing! Supertigerman (talk) 04:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- I appreciate your efforts, and understand that you had good and informative intentions, but the information is indeed redundant. It is contained in other parts of the articles, and the 2 new templates will have to go. Supertigerman (talk) 04:23, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for coming to my defense in regards to the "Serena Slam" issue. I appreciate the trouble you went to getting those links together. :-) Alonsornunez (talk) 18:32, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
WP Golf recent updates list
Hi there, thanks for the work you're doing adding the infobox template to golfer articles. However, there are hundreds of golfer articles to do, and the project page will just get cluttered very quickly if every article that has the template transcluded is added to the recent updates list. The list is really just for major substantial changes (such as rewrites and other major content changes), and new articles, so that other editors can visit to quickly check/proof read. Golfer nicknames
Hi again, just a quick note about nicknames. Abbreviations such as Steve, Bob, Don, Phil, etc. are not really nicknames, so are best left out of the infobox. Regards. wjematherbigissue 10:12, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Alternate accounts
Just a couple notes for you on alternate account templates:
- The talk pages for your alternate accounts should use only the {{User Alternate Acct|Bluedogtn}} template, not the multiple {{User Alternate Acct Name}} templates you have been putting there.
- Please make sure that all of your alternate accounts are listed at the top of this page and use the {{User Alternate Acct|Bluedogtn}} template. This will prevent them from being mistaken for sock puppets.
Please do not use the {{IPsock}} template for each IP address you use. This template is used to track abuse. Alternate accounts are not considered abuse. Sockpuppets are. You can replace the IP talk pages with {{db-g7}} to have them deleted. It is nobody's business but yours which IPs you use.
Thanks! --Pascal666 21:58, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

- Actually, I went to JSCC and TSU; I've got no love for the Vols, who suck all the state money away from the other schools. I only get back to Tennessee nowadays for Chattacon. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:53, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, this was my fault. I was doing some cleanup of the sockpuppet categories and came across all the ones for Bluedogtn's alternate accounts. I thought Tennis Expert (the account that flagged each IP) was one of those alternate accounts; I did not realize it was someone else trying to make an actual sockpuppet accusation (Bluedogtn had gone a little overboard in alternate account template usage). I left a message (above) saying (among other things) that as long as the alternate accounts were templated correctly there was no need to template each IP as well and to use {{db-g7}} to request deletion (believing that Bluedogtn was the one who had created the pages in the first place). Bluedogtn simply did not recognize my mistake. --Pascal666 04:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:2009PGALogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:2009PGALogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:16, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

- I replied to your question here. I'd also like to say I'm glad you seem to have decided on staying and contributing from one account. On another note it might be helpful to other users if you mark all your alternative accounts with something like {{User Alternate Acc}}, so that anyone being led, for example here, by alt account contributions would be able to make a link to here and talk to you if they wish. President's Cup international team logo
Hi, this image is copyrighted by the PGA TOUR, Inc. per http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/presidentscup/. It cannot be transcluded per WP:Non-free content criteria, and could only be shown on a fair-use basis once in the Presidents Cup article, for example. The image file File:Intl logo2.gif also needs similar licensing as File:Presidents-cup-tnfeat.jpg. I have had to delete Template:Country data International per Wikipedia:CSD#T2 as it is against policy to transclude non-free images (i.e. they can only appear in article namespace). — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 22:48, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Your comment on The Roger Federer PR
Hey there. I saw your comment regarding the Roger Federer article on its peer review page and was curious as to why you diagree completely with my comment. Note that I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, I'd just like to know the reasoning behind your statement. Thanks, --tennisman 12:56, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- You know how hard it would be to condense them down into paragraphs with all the information contained in the wikitable charts, which would take up more space. If you do this, please put this at the top of the career achievements page because this would need to go first like the other stuff on the career statistics page. I would recommend against this being done, but if it would get this up to FA status go ahead and do this, but if not leave it as is.BLUEDOGTN 02:19, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Phil Mickelson & WGC-HSBC Champions
The WGC-HSBC Champions was not an official PGA Tour event - not an official win or official money. To list it as such would be misleading. If you can find an official PGA Tour source that states that Phil now has 38 wins, then I'll buy it. It is an official win on the European Tour. Tewapack (talk) 20:44, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
ATP Masters Series Doubles
Yo, I just hit random article and tidy what ever I hit. – The masters template just needed the spaces before the {{·w}} removing; and {{nowrap begin}} and {{nowrap end}} put at each end of all the lists ({{·w}} punches a wrap hole in the formatting set up by {{nowrap begin}} and {{nowrap end}} – though it does appear to work without them; it is better to be safe than sorry); I put colons after the dates – just because I like it like that. If you have/see any navboxes that need a polish just drop them in my talk page and I'll try and get them sparkling. Cheers, --TheAllSeeingEye (talk) 22:59, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Re:Roger Federer#Records
Definietly like the new look. It takes up a great deal less space, so the area doesn't look ridiculously cluttered unless the reader wants it to. I think that the one thing that can make that section better is to add in a synopsis; maybe a list of some of his top records or the peerless ones. I started doing that in my Sandbox, so I'll add it in when I get finished, but for right now what you have looks much better. If I were to change one thing, it would be to leave the titles above the sections and preview it like that; I'm not sure how it would look but the [show] in the middle of what essentially amounts to a title doesn't look the best. I'm not familiar with collapsing table code, so you'd have to look into that yourself. Outside of that one issue, though, the new format looks great. --tennisman 06:07, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
