File:People's beach1.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Alf.laylah.wa.laylah (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File is available on Commons as File:People's beach.jpg. File was tagged with {{keep local}} however the rationale is more than insufficient. It is based on the assumption that Commons is a host for pornography and will be shut down by the FBI. See history for more details. Hiàn (talk) 01:11, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The image's author has requested that it not be stored at Commons. The author's express wishes should be sufficient reason not to delete. No good reason has been provided why the image should be deleted. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:59, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep There's nothing in WP:F8 that requires a sufficient rationale. It states clearly there that an image can ONLY be deleted if The image is not marked as {{Do not move to Commons}} or as {{Keep local}}. Nothing at all in there about sufficiency of rationales. The marking is explicitly a sufficient rationale not to delete. — alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 17:46, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Unfortunately, there is no freedom of panorama for text in the United States, so the file should be deleted from both Wikipedia and Commons on copyright grounds. Can be undeleted in 2105. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:22, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
File:Bankstownwatertower.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Meganesia (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Uploader is claiming this image is "own work", but given the description "Construction of Bankstown Reservoir. 1919.", the "own work" claim isn't credible. Whpq (talk) 13:12, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, image is in public domain per {{PD-US-1923}} and {{PD-Australia}}. I have updated the licencing, however, the source and author needs updating. Flickerd (talk) 13:55, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: Where is the evidence of publication in 1919?

  • The description states that the picture shows the Construction of Bankstown Reservoir. 1919. There is no source, but the section Bankstown Reservoir#Construction states that construction began in 1918 and the infobox suggests that the construction was completed in 1920, so the year should be approximately correct (provided that the picture shows the correct building).
Given the age, the picture should be in the public domain in Australia.
The tag {{PD-US-1923}} implies publication before 1923, but since no source was provided, there is no way to prove that it was published before 1923. Even if it was not published until later, it could be in the public domain in the United States for some other reason. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:59, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Malcolm Glazer.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Beatley (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Although the subject of this photo is now dead, he only died four years ago and wasn't exactly a recluse while he was alive, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that someone somewhere took a photo of him that they'd be willing to upload here under a free licence. – PeeJay 10:04, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Universal Orlando Globe.jpeg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by GC05 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free use The globe is a sculpture in the US, so Freedom of Panorama applies. The article is not about the globe itself, rendering its needed non-free license void. Elisfkc (talk) 14:33, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This image is not being used in any article, so maybe it shouldn't have been uploaded to Wikipedia (perhaps WikiMedia was a better place). Also, the uploader hasn't been active since 2015. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:23, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
